The 100 Dollar Day
Sunday, March 11th, 2007It has only been a few months ago that I was struggling to reach the $100 mark in a single month. Since then my AdSense income has been growing quite fast and yesterday I’ve had my first $100 day!

First there was site-search, that you can add to your website, to let visitors search your site by using the Google search-engine. This great feature will save you a lot of time, writing a search function for your website.
But what if you want your visitors to be able to find information on other sites as well? Now there is Google co-op which will search all sites you have added to the search-engine. You can now create your own search-engine that is specialized on a certain topic and it will not show all the MFA sites in the results.
What’s even cooler is that you can make a little money with your own search-engine by adding your AdSense code to the result pages!
People are really noticing our Blogotition and 4 of the blogs in the competition are now listed as the top blogs on the web! All but Wineo’s blog are listed on the 43 Best Blogs website, which is a compilation of millions of votes. I guess Wineo is not in the list since he is bribing his readers to help him win the blogotition…
Well actually the 43 Best Blogs list is a list that can be edited by anyone, just visit the site and hit the ‘edit’ button to get yourself listed. While it is quite a cool concept, this is an open invitation to spammers to get their word out… Do us all a favor, if you get to the site and find it full of ring tone links, hit the history button to roll back that last change (and maybe add this blog while your on the edit page
)
Me and a few fellow webmasters at webdigity have started a blogotition. A blogo-what?
Blogotition is a Blog-competition, please note that at this point in time ‘blogotition‘ is officially the newest word on the web! No search-engine has ever seen this word anywhere before, ever! And whenever you see this word somewhere else, be sure to remember where it came from!
So what’s the goal of the competition? The goal is to get to spot number 100.000 at Technorati. Right now The Big Adsventure ranks 1,121,327 so there’s a long way to go! The ranking at Technorati is determined by the number of blogs linking in. Blogs will link to your own blog if you have quality content, but sometimes blogs are given something to link in.
In this blogotition I see my competition giving away some quality stuff to get others to link in. While this could be considered cheating I guess if they can do it, so can I! At this very moment I’m working on a new members only website and as soon as the site is finished, which will be within the next couple of days, I will have a hell of a deal for you! So, stay tuned…
I’ve just a added a ClustrMaps map to be able to see where all the visitors come from. This free service is a very cool addition to any website. I’ve been using this service for quite a while on one of my other sites, ClustrMaps was still named HitMaps back then. I was quite pissed off when the HitMaps suddenly stopped showing on my site and they announced that a payed service would be launched soon. The service was renamed to ClustrMaps and to my joy it was still free. ClustrMaps also has a paid service, ClustrMaps+, which lets you zoom in on the continents for a more detailed view of your visitors locations. At not even $10 yearly I think the price of the ClustrMaps+ is very reasonable. If you want a map displayed on your own site, just click on the ClustrMaps map seen at the top of this site!
